THE Health & fitness reference

This podcast is brilliant. A life changer. I can always find interesting topics about how human body works in terms of nutrition and physical exercise. The fact that references to research studies and years of experiences from expert scientists are the norm gives credibility to the explanations and conclusions drawn. The only downside, there is too much content to listen to it all XD

No BS person behind a no BS podcast

Ben is authentically interested in providing the best, the most cutting edge information in each and every episode. I am so grateful for the REAL and authentic attitude, no fear in exposing not so alluring things in the modern social media - inner insecurities or concepts that are out there, unconventional, thought provoking. Thank you Ben. I really appreciate you as an author, human being and soul. Thank you.

Bio-hacking at its best

I wanted to leave a review along with the thousands of others on the US iTunes Store but I can't because I am based in Spain; this review is being written immediately after reading the piss-poor opinions of some morons on the other site.
This is an excellent Podcast and an example of bio-hacking at its best. What Ben and Brock intend to do is keep abreast of emerging science and explain the pros and cons of certain bio-hacking techniques. They give advice but the caveat is always that it depends on the individual. A common criticism is that they change their minds and flip-flop a lot, or "admit" to not doing things consistently. Of course they do; bio-hacking is constantly evolving with new scientific results and things get discarded when they are improved upon or shown not to work. They don't even follow the same routines as each other because they have different nutritional and training needs. Bio-hacking is a community approach where people try new things, report their results, and offer things to the group. The main ethos is that you should try new hacks, keep what works for you as an individual and throw away what doesn't. To complain that they are not consistent in their approach is short-sighted. If you want to switch your brain off and follow a blueprint, or a step-by-step guide, then this podcast is not the best way to go. Instead you should give them some money and have them design a life for you. If you want to use your brain and follow your own interesting journey then Ben and Brock can provide shortcuts for you.
This leads on to another complaint, that the Podcast has become too commerical or that they 'pedal products'. Of course they do, they have bills to pay. Idiots are listening to hundreds of free Podcasts and then complaining that Ben is passing the hat around for some money. This is the business model of many online entrepreneurs and seems a fair trade; hundreds of hours of free information in exchange for listening to some pitching for business. Ben discloses his connections with products that he recommends, arranges discounts on products from affiliates, and promotes his own products. It isn't conditional, and you are able to take all of the Podcasts for free. I would much rather this than have it ad-free and have to pay for the Podcast.
Listen to the Podcast with an open mind and then make your own decisions on what to do with the information. Try some things, ignore others. Ben and Brock present many subjects, and they don't always agree with them themselves, but they give a voice to people with differing ideas. If the subject doesn't interest you, or you disagree with it, then switch off that episode and wait for the next (I switched off the vaccination one when Andrew Wakefield was described as a genius). Don't complain that the free information is not what you want, because that is the work of a dick. And try to ignore that two adults use the word 'toot'.
