When I was first starting to plan our wedding in 2016 I was shocked at the lack of resources there were for brides planning a destination wedding.
I had a million questions. How am I supposed to pick between hundreds of resorts? Are these pictures really as nice as they seem or could I be ripped off? What if someone in my family has never left the country before? Needless to say, I pulled off the wedding of our dreams, but it was more difficult than I anticipated.
That's where Breezy Brides came to life. I want it to be easy for destination wedding brides to plan their wedding. I'm here to answer the many questions behind destination wedding etiquette, how to travel with your wedding dress, and everything in between. Planning a destination wedding can be an exciting adventure, but it also comes with its own set of challenges and considerations. As I've said in the past, there just aren’t as many resources out there for a destination wedding, so a lot of couples are left trying to fill in the gaps of planning by creating a sort of hodgepodge of tools they’ve gotten from social media, their travel agent, or other random sources.
So in today's episode we're going to talk all about the do’s and don’ts of planning a destination wedding. We go over essential tips for couples planning a destination wedding, including budgeting, legal requirements, guest accommodations, and communication with vendors.
Joining on this episode is Kristen McNatt, one of the newest agents that's apart of #TeamBAI, but also a former destination wedding bride who has firsthand experience with planning her own wedding.
