Journalist, artist, and activist Caron LeNoir believes we have the right to our narratives. This space is for the provocateur and I’m all about starting something. This podcast is news, perspectives, and commentary on life as it is now. We welcome those with unique points of view, artists, public figures, and citizens who believe as I do that our voices and presence matters and we have the right to own our work and distribute it as we see fit. We also believe there is safety in numbers and growth, with respect for our democracy and the choices we make in that effort.

The revolution may not be televised, but it will be heard. We start here, with our own stories, our very real lives, and the faith to speak truth to power, confront our fears and comfort our journey.

    On Children & Grief

    On Children & Grief

Life is often unpredictable and a huge part of our lives is death. One of the most difficult things about parenthood is experiencing grief through the eyes of a child. In this episode, our guest is Chantia Carter, licensed clinical therapist and founder of Art of Peace Wellness in Charlotte, NC. I thought it important to discuss children and grief because I discovered it is one of those difficult conversations we often avoid. Every person has a different response to experiencing loss and when you consider children who may not be able to fully articulate what or how they feel, we have to open the door so they, too can heal. Chantia helps us get a better understanding of grief, its process, the human response to it and how to love each other through it.

The Orgasm Prescription for Women with Dr Andrea Pennington

The Orgasm Prescription for Women with Dr Andrea Pennington

We often discuss the many ways women are taught to deny ourselves pleasure. The famous line from the song “I can’t get no satisfaction” rings true for far too many. In her new book The Orgasm Prescription for Women - 21 Days to Heightened Pleasure, Deeper Intimacy and Orgasmic Bliss, Dr Andrea Pennington opens the floodgates and unlocks the truth about the treasure, the big O. This is a woman who is really starting something and its no surprise she is the one pulling back the veil of shame and uncertainty when it comes to loving ourselves and getting the love and pleasure we deserve.
