In this episode, Milton speaks with Elisabeth Wurm, a theater director, Enneagram teacher and IT recruiter from St. Louis. Elizabeth was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2015, which came with depression and anxiety, and most recently diagnosed with brain cancer. She discusses her journey trying to navigate this as well as the Enneagram work she’s done in the past 10 years. As an Enneagram Type Two, she talks about how she leaned into the Type Eight space to advocate for what she needs and into the space of her security number Four when she’s feeling secure in being alone. She also shares tips on how to be in support and a good friend to someone with a chronic illness or battling cancer.

    Live Now, Don’t Wait

    Live Now, Don’t Wait

In this episode, Milton breaks down each Enneagram type to help us learn how to live now. We are not promised tomorrow, and the Enneagram types have a certain way of making us wait to live life. Everyone has a divine gift and a divine purpose that the world’s need, and when you don’t do your inner work, the world misses out. Milton focuses on how the ego structures can truly take us away from being able to live in a way that’s holistic, liberating and transformational.

Relaxing Instincts When Working in Groups

Relaxing Instincts When Working in Groups

In this episode, Milton discusses the need to submit or relax your dominant instinct while working in groups. Some of the inner work that we do has to be done in a community setting, and during a trip in Egypt, Milton realized that his self-preservation instinct doesn’t play well in this. He draws from his personal experience to share how this can get in the way. He also talks about what happens with the other instincts in groups and what can be beneficial for you.

Disappointed with the update ,

Do if for the Woke

This used to be a wonderful Enneagram-themed podcast, well worth 4-5 stars, but has, in the last 6 months morphed into something more akin to a playlist of Ibram X Kendi sermons, served up like a handful of Flintstone chewable vitamins. Some may love this new direction. I do not.

There are plenty of people in this world, like myself, who proudly aspire to colorblindedness, even though this term is now considered “racist” in 2020 and banned by Kendi, DiAngelo, and Coates. We stand with King and the values he fought for and the Dream he envisioned, and we reject any and all forms of identity politics, which do more to divide than to unite.

For that reason, and that alone, I’m no longer subscribing.

Happily Unwoke.
