Ep 3: No Money, No Honey‪!‬ Alright Trouble

    • Cultura y sociedad

This week Aisha and Faz are joined by ‘Dorian’ and ‘Brisk’ (obvs their street names), we tried to protect their names; but their real names might have slipped through a few times.. Ahem. We talk about money, the history of money, why we use money, who the richest person alive was and what happens when you get into trouble with money: DEBT. Aisha learns that money doesn’t come from trees, Faz is convinced that cavemen exchanged axes for mammoths, and hence money attaches value to the things being exchanged. Europeans snatched the idea of coins and notes, and discovered Africa and India: and we all know what happened there... The ‘Museum of Theft’ refuses to give back the Elgin Marbles. The gang’s minds are blown by the fact that the richest person alive was Mansa Musa. Aisha’s money motivation comes down to ‘bare drip,’ Dorian spends his money in ways that cannot be mentioned in polite company, Brisk’s life won’t change that much with £10k. OK THEN. Dorian’s quite angry about not having any money, Sonny urges us to have ‘multiple streams of revenue'. ** https://www.moneysupermarket.com/ ** https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/ ** https://thefinancialdiet.com/ ** https://skintdad.co.uk/ ** --- Instagram: www.instagram.com/troublepodcast -- Twitter: www.twitter.com/alrighttrouble -- Facebook: www.facebook.com/alrighttrouble -- TikTok: AlrightTrouble
