Living in Dread
I never miss an episode of The News Quiz, but since Andy Zaltzman arrived to host the show, I log in every Friday dreading he may have been replaced .
He has made all previous hosts appear insignificant, watered down and somewhat prepackaged.
Please can I have a guarantee Andy will host the show for a least the next 20 years? After that, the BBC can choose whomsoever they like, but please, not in my lifetime.
The Now Show Blues
Does anyone else suffer the crushing disappointment when you go to play the download, really looking forward to The News Quiz, only to discover the series is over and you’ve downloaded The Now Show? It’s like looking forward to the Times Crossword, only to be given a Word Search; or looking forward to a Michelin-starred meal, only to be presented with a turd sandwich without the bread.
