Prisoners (2013)
Perhaps the most criminal result of the delay of DUNE: Part 2 was the delay of our episode covering Denis Villeneuve’s 2013 film, Prisoners. Starring a veritable who’s who of some of our biggest movie stars; we lament over what could have been for Jackman’s song and dance career, debate how many superheroes and polka dots David Dastmalchian has played, and drool over just how STUPID hot Jake Gyllenhaal is. TLDR- We do everything we can to still make it a real good time.

Solaris (2002)
This week, JJ Bersch from Blank Check with Griffin & David, returns to top his own record and deliver our longest episode ever. For the first time ever, a guest brings a movie Caroline & Carson haven’t seen. We discussed Steven Soderbergh’s ‘Solaris.’ Clooney is charming as ever, Viola Davis turns in an outstanding early career performance, and this episode is a real good time!

Lost In Translation (2003)
This week, we are covering Sofia Coppola’s sophomore feature starring Bill Murray & Scarlett Johansson, 2003’s Lost In Translation. This film follows Johansson & Murray as they meet while following their individual journeys that have led them to Tokyo. Through Coppola’s signature style, the two form a bond that is as unlikely as it is meaningful.

Hard Candy (2006)
St. Patricks’ month comes to MAYBE the most upsetting possible conclusion; This week we are discussing David Slade’s 2006 film ‘Hard Candy’. Starring Patrick Wilson, Elliot Page, and Sandra Oh, this film draws a wildly striking resemblance to Emerald Fennel’s ‘Promising Young Woman’. Good, bad, and ugly, this film makes for some excellent conversation.

The Phantom of the Opera (2004)
St. Patricks’ month continues this week with Joel Schumacher’s 2004 musical movie ‘The Phantom of the Opera.’ There are SO many CHOICES made in this movie, good, bad, or indifferent. Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote a WEIRDLY auto-biographical musical, and then turned it into a weirdly auto-biographical movie. Patrick Wilson is our shining light and always will be. The theatre kids are out in full force this week, but we promise it’s a REAL good time!
