InFrequency is a monthly collection of music podcasts including Temporary Fandoms, MSG10 (Movements, Scenes, and Genres) and sometimes others.
Hosted by Ewan and Nick, and featuring an ever widening range of guests, from musicians, journalists, authors, to fanatical music fans.
We aim to encourage the deep-dive rather than being gatekeepers.
We have looked at bands like the Fall, LCD Soundsystem and more, as well as genres such as Riot Grrrl and New York No Wave.
Head over to our home at infrequency.co.uk and stream some of the shows with music included.

80's Pop Nuggets, With The Giddy Carousel Of Pop: Movements, Scenes, and Genres
I am joined by not one but two guests, co-hosts of the excellent Smash Hits podcast, "The Giddy Carousel Of Pop" Gavin Hogg, and Simon Galloway. As 80's pop aficionados they chose to take me through some of the 80's unsung pop belters (though I did have to question them on whether a couple of the choices were obscure at all).
There is a playlist on Spotify to the tunes we are talking about, here

PJ Harvey: 1992 - 1998
First of all, apologies for the slightly sub-par sound quality this month.
In this episode of Temporary Fandoms we look at the stunning first half of the discography of PJ Harvey. From the astounding opening Indie Rock of Dry, through to the trip-Hop infused Is This Desire? As always we take you through each album, play a few songs, and then have a ramble chat to see what's what.

Disco, with Dr Liam Maloney: Movements, Scenes, and Genres
We are joined by Doctor of Music, Liam Maloney, to talk about the rise and possible fall of Disco. We look at how Disco began in a New York loft, the Stonewall uprising, the destruction of dangerous disco records, how disco continues to this day, and no Abba, though there is some Ethel Merman, for some reason. And Liam chose some incredibly long, but cracking, tunes for us to listen to, including Idris Muhammad, Eddie Kendricks, and erm Ethel Merman!
Find out more and stream with ALL the songs we discuss at www.infrequency.co.uk or www.mixcloud.com/tempfans and follow Liam at @liamtmaloney
There is a spotify playlist, but not everything is on Spotify, so if you really must... https://sptfy.com/MSGDISCO -

We talk about Blur waaaay too much, call ourselves out for accidental sexism, discuss indie dancefloors, music journos, the battle of the bands and even Menswear!!!
Please consider subscribing or tipping if you want to support the show, and find out more about us at www.infrequency.co.uk where you can listen to this in full, for free, with all the tunes embedded!!!
