    Just a Little Something 04

Woo chile, it’s been a while! So we kind of just went on a hiatus without making no kind of announcement and that’s our bad. It’s been a lot going on! Toria felt like it would be right to explain our absence and she couldn’t wait any longer. She did this off the cuff so there’s no script and no order to this short episode. She just wants to make it known why we’ve been away for this long. We will be back again for a full episode soon but for now, check out what Toria has to say.

    Mo' Money Less Problems

    Mo' Money Less Problems

Imagine if disabled folks had more money? We could have more access to things and quite possibly fewer problems. One can dream, right? In this episode, we break down how expensive it is to be disabled in America. There’s not a lot of effort in fixing the issue of poverty in the disability community. The little resources that are available for disabled folks are simply not enough. One of the roots of ableism is how society creates barriers for disabled people to live financially independent. It is important to dissect all of the expenses that exist in a disabled person's life. You’ll see why society needs to do better with assisting disabled folks! Pay disabled people for their services. We need money to live! When you vote, always have disabled folks in mind because that can be what can change things. Support our podcast by following us and sharing with your friends! We are back to a bi-weekly schedule so make sure to check us out in two weeks!

    The Episode About Nothing

    The Episode About Nothing

Ronisha is back, y'all! The dynamic duo is back and we are so glad!

Listen, it's been a wild year! COVID is wrecking everyone's world! Biden isn't getting rid of student loans (BOO)! Insecure is ending soon! We are just in crisis okay! For this episode, we don't want to think or do any type of labor for the rest of the year! We are tired! In the new year, we will have fresh episodes and other content ready for you! For now, enjoy this episode and catch up on the previous ones!

Like the title says, this episode is about nothing...Seinfield style. We didn't write any script or have any direction in mind when recording this episode, we just wanted to talk. In this episode, we talked about dating because why not? We gave our thoughts on the recent episode of Insecure because it's the greatest show ever! We just talked about everything under the sun. So on your day off, feel free to enjoy this fun episode and we will see you next year!

Happy Holidays! Happy Kwanzaa! We love y'all and appreciate y'all for listening! Take care and be safe!

    Justice for Engracia

    Justice for Engracia

Anddddd we back! Well just one of us for now. After a short hiatus on the pod, Toria is back with another episode! Ronisha will be back for the next episode so hold tight before the dynamic duo is back!

    TW: death

We missed a lot of news while away from the pod but there's one story that stuck so we wanted to discuss it on the pod. In this episode, we discuss Engracia's story. Engracia was a prominent figure in the disability community who unfortunately passed away due to United Airlines negligence. We also discuss the fears disabled folks who use assistive devices have when it comes to traveling. REST IN PEACE ENGRACIA! JUSTICE FOR ENGRACIA!

Oh To Be Black and Disabled II

Oh To Be Black and Disabled II

GET READY FOR THE PART TWOOOO!

How often do you think about intersectionality? In this episode, we have the opportunity to speak with Disability activist, Keri Gray. We got to explore the intersections of being both Black/POC and Disabled because it is very important to acknowledge those things. Keri also discussed the importance of the NAMD Advocates Summit and what she hopes everyone to gain from the experience. We also discussed guilty pleasures and let's just say, it gets salty (LOL). If you haven't already, please check out Keri's website and register for the Summit (withkeri.com/2021summit).
