Pizza Fridays and Self Care Your Way Ft. Sunda & Self Love Club

Pizza Fridays and Self Care Your Way Ft. Sunda & Self Love Club

On Today’s Episode, I chat with Sunda - artist, community builder and mental health advocate. Our episode feels so timely as Sunda is the brains behind Self Love Club.  A Community created to inspire and bring awareness to mental health through self-care and holistic practices that encourages self-reflection. Sunda and I connect on the power of our networks, the importance of transparency, and how self-care should and will look different for everyone but it’s about your connection to the practice. Sunda shares how the family is at the core of who she is and comes from a large family.  Sunda is a proud cool aunt as she seeks to encourage adventure and curiosity in her nieces and nephews and encouraging them to be their best selves.
Our convo highlights how individual story connects to our passion. Sunda talks about her journey with anxiety and how her ability to talk about her healing has connected her to others. Her dedication in this space has helped her find alignment not just with Self Love Club but also while in pursuit of a master's in clinical counseling.

"That's Racist" A conversation on Blackness and Wellness ft. Mercilla Ryan-Harris

"That's Racist" A conversation on Blackness and Wellness ft. Mercilla Ryan-Harris

On Today's Episode, I talk to Mercilla Ryan-Harris a proud Atlanta Native, Hampton Alum, public health professional and general wellness advocate. Mercilla or Mercie to most is fueled by her love for Black people, her city, and weaves that into everything she does. We talk about the importance of her work to move the conversation on the impact of racism and health as a co-founder of the Nonprofit organization BlkHlth.  We discuss the importance of celebrating ourselves more often than not, how she navigates imposter syndrome by accepting that what comes to you, is for you. Mercie reminds us of the importance of staying connected to the true you when the thoughts come by reminding yourself that you are enough.

Adding Value to Others Makes You Valuable ft. Ayo Duyile

Adding Value to Others Makes You Valuable ft. Ayo Duyile

On Mondays episode of @katcuriositymissed I talk to Ayo Duyile.
An entrepreneur, DMV native and tech professional. I personally welcome Ayo to Atlanta and talk about navigating his sense of home as a newish resident ( because clearly, I should be on the "Welcome to Atlanta" committee). We discuss the importance of recognizing the strengths of the people to the left and the right of you and keeping people around you who are moving the same way you are. Ayo talks about what keeps him motivated and is really fueled by knowing there’s another level of mastery for him to reach. Ayo stresses the importance of working hard doing what you need to do but also finding the time to decompress even if that means scheduling a nap, a run, or watching Batman.
