Rashidi from the Skill Youth Chess Club in Newport News, VA has been utilizing the game of Chess for 5 years to teach black boys about the strategy of LIFE.  Rashidi and other men mentor young black boys to promote empowerment.  He decided to do something about the negative reputation of the youth not having manners or a successful future.  

These boys and men speak about being a man, a role model, developing leadership skills, in addition to learning how to put a tie on, speak to women, self-defense, reading, and have healthy relationships.

The Skill Chess Club meets on Saturdays, and this is a FREE program for the youth of Hampton Roads.
