Lily Vasquez: Final project Lily Vasquez

For my final project, I interviewed two different college students that were from different backgrounds, such as one of them is from New Mexico, and the other from Jamacia. I used the same questions for both interviews that I conducted and learned a lot from my friends that I interviewed. I asked questions about different topics relating to freshman college students such as mental health, new environment change, culture shocks, study methods that work best for them, and the advice that they wished someone told them before coming to college. After listening to their mental health and the self-care they do for themselves I believe I will start doing that because recently my mental health has taken a toll on me and I should try new ways to help with it. And another thing that fascinated me was the culture shock from my friend who was from a different country because it was about fried food which she is right about, many Americans are unhealthy, and also about how people were raised. And another thing that stood out to me was advice about different study methods to try such as mindmaps and doing review questions because I believe this will help me since I have an Anatomy final coming up and I am struggling with how to study for the test. Lastly, the advice they would give a freshman that they wished some told them was that it's okay to ask for help and to use the resources given to you.
