This episode is a little bit different from the usual. Today I'm talking to one of my two older brothers, Joe Fant. Joe is the senior pastor of a church in South Bend, Indiana. He's passionate about his church, his family, and oxford cotton button down shirts.

We're coming up on summertime, and for many law students that - hopefully - means a summer job in a law firm, a government agency, or something in between. Many students will have to put together a professional wardrobe before the end of May, and most of them are doing that on a pretty tight budget. Joe is a busy man with a church to lead, a wife, and four beautiful children. I really appreciate him taking the time to dive into this, and I think his insight will help some of you get pointed in the right direction.

Teddy Waldron is a first-year at Georgia Law and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal officer in the New York Army National Guard. He started law school with the class of 2023, deployed to Kuwait for almost a year, and is back finishing his first year with the class of 2024. All three of us have been in war zones, and that's what we're going to talk about in this episode. We talk about Emina's experience as a refugee from Bosnia and Hannah's experience being evacuated from Lebanon.
The recent withdrawal from Afghanistan has sparked many conversations about war and what that means for the very real people caught in the middle of them - that's how this conversation got started.

Today's guest is Martin Cohick. Martin is a 3L at South Texas College of Law in Houston, TX. Martin and I were classmates at West Point where we graduated in 2011. I really became friends with Martin at the Army Reconnaissance Course at Fort Benning, GA. I talk to Martin almost every day, and I look forward to podcasting again with Martin in the future.

Today's guest is Noah Nix. Noah's an Atlanta native and a first-year here at Georgia Law. He studied pre-med at Fordham University in New York, where he also played wide receiver on the football team. Before coming to law school, Noah worked at a tech company in Atlanta for about a year and a half. He's the kind of guy people say nice things about behind his back, and I know you're going to enjoy this conversation with him.
