Meet Founder & Executive Producer Raeshem Nijhon Behind Culture House She's So Reel

    • Cine y TV

We got something culturally impactful today y'all! Let me introduce, Raeshem Nijhon, who is the Founder and Executive Producer of Culture.House where she develops and produces film, television and events at the intersection of pop culture and politics. Her work is led by themes that flip the mainstream cultural script to bring impactful narratives to a broad audience with big entertainment value. Raeshem is committed to a deeply diverse “content supply chain” that centers the connection between the lived experience of those creating the work and the work itself which we discuss today. We get a behind the scenes glimpse of how Raeshem created Culture House as a Black, Brown and Women owned premium film and TV production company with diverse, inclusive, culturally productive practices . They specialize in non-fiction film, television, cultural narrative shift, while also creating opportunities for people of color, women and queer people, and non-traditional voices on both sides of the camera.  And boy, do they have several things stirring up in 2021—let’s see what’s shaking, shall we?
