An attempt to understand how our society got to where we are today - that is, an age in which sexual assault allegations are commonplace and no one seems to know how to talk about it... or even want to talk about it. I think some of us do want to know how to have these conversations, though, so I'm going to attempt to understand, criticize, and grow from this topic through research, self-reflection, and open dialogue. Ideally this might make navigating these conversations a little more comfortable for those listening.

In the next stage of my questioning, let's think about why we're so seemingly confused about consent. Is it a simple yes-or-no question? What more is there to it? Who are the worst offenders? Are we all confused? How did we get here? I can't say I have all the answers, but I'll share my ideas and those of others.
