We are about changing the world, one brand at a time. It may sound a little pretentious but it is a real belief. We know brands have positive impacts on consumers and we want to bottle that! We will highlight brands as drivers for change and the role they play as influencers. Planet Driven Brands™ will have a better purpose, a better reason-to-be, that will impact positively on the world in which we live. Planet Driven Brands™ are simply ‘out of this world’ – and so is this Podcast! We will be talking to brand owners, their agencies and influencers to give us their perspective on the planet and their impact on it. It will challenge us all to do better, to BE better! Our aim is to get both sides of the story, and to be as impartial as we can, but our aim is the recovery of the Planet and so it should be for everyone!

    Euan Jarvie & Nic Jones

Planet Driven Brands Podcast Euan Jarvie.
At the time of recording Euan was the CEO, UK & Ireland at Advertising giant Dentsu Aegis.
Euan is passionate about the societal and cultural shift that is required for change and he explains the Black Lives Matter effect on the public opinion - "intolerant of intolerance"

With over 30 years experience leading client service agencies, Euan's insight is crucial as the industry goes through change.
Here is his story; whereby he has travelled from being the 'token jock' to learning about 'real' prejudice from his own mentor, "a black lady from SE London"

These experiences have helped form strong opinions on how advertising tackles its own problems of prejudice and (lack of) diversity.
In doing so he projects his own mantra - #Contribution-not-commnetary.

He wants clients to 'stop talking about doing good, but not doing better' and warns that competition and commercialism in contracts is actually holding back evolution and progress in achieving sustainable goals.

His family and many colleagues have played an important part in his story and as he says:
"You're only here for a short period of time. Be that in a career or in life in total and therefore your only real responsibility is not to muck it up for the people coming after you!"
Here, in Planet Driven Brands Podcast Euan Jarvie shares some powerful thoughts as to how we can guard against doing just that!

Jason Gibb of Bread & Jam Festival

Jason Gibb of Bread & Jam Festival

Planet Driven Brands Podcast Jason Gibb.
Jason has a most fascinating story to tell.
His journey from scientist, to TV producer (Scrapheap Challenge), through Olive Oil producer and finally to founder of 'Bread & Jam' is told through the lens of an underlying mission, in his life, to help others.
Bread & Jam is the epitome of what Jason is all about and it was the Olive Oil experience that helped create it.
Concerned by the lack of help for food industry start-ups he set about creating a platform of his own.
And, after 'meeting his tribe' at a number of UK trade shows, B&J was born...!

B & J has grown into one of the 'must attend' festivals in the food calendar.
Furthermore, he has created the  Food Hub Directory as an additional resource for budding brands.
We hear how Jason has done it and what his mission is for the future.

Jason is driven by how he and his businesses interact with, and impact, the planet.

    As he says:
"Outside of Bread & Jam my ambition is to do something with my life where I come home at the end of the day and I kinda feel like I've done something positive!"
Here, in Planet Driven Brands Podcast Jason Gibb shares why we kind of believe he is already doing this!

Episode 36: Emeline Fellus, FReSH Director @ World Business Council for Sustainable Development

Episode 36: Emeline Fellus, FReSH Director @ World Business Council for Sustainable Development

Planet Driven Brands Podcast Emeline Fellus.
Emeline is a global leader in sustainable diets within WBCSD, who have for more than 2 decades been demonstrating leadership with its work on Climate, Energy, circular economies, food and nature and now in helping 'redefine capitalism'.

Emeline makes a call for systemic change in our eating habits and describes how consumers need help in doing this - 'we shouldn't be scared of changing, but of NOT changing'!
Our food systems need a re-balancing and Emeline describes her view on what actually constitutes a 'sustainable' diet.
She points out that there is no one single answer due to the varying aspirational demands of cultures, but she believes that everyone needs to act!

It is clear this movement needs leaders and Emeline mentions Paul Polman and Emmanuel Faber as such, alongside groups such as WHO and FAO.

It is these people we need to turn to push us to make the steps to change and that this is urgent. As she says:
"It's if we redirect the subsidies to actually support the better production practices and the better food, I think it would really be able to do a service to the planet and the people and as quickly as possible, because we're running out of time!"
Emeline, like all our panellists, is passionate not only about her role but the role everyone is playing in creating a better future and here she spells out many of the steps we simply must be taking, before we run out of time.

Here, in Planet Driven Brands Podcast Emeline Fellus shares this passion and her experiences with us. She also helpfully describes what FReSH actually is!

I think you'll love it and I certainly enjoyed the chat :)

Amanda Rolat and The Planet's Agency

Amanda Rolat and The Planet's Agency

Planet Driven Brands Podcast Amanda Rolat.
Amanda has a fascinating story to tell!
She didn't set out to tun a pet food company, but the devastating loss of her beloved dog Harry to cancer, got her to investigating the pet food market.
What she found out left her feeling that she needed to do something and Bramble was born.

Today we hear how Amanda developed a clean and healthy vegan pet food product that is not only sustainable for the planet, but crucially is also much better for her dogs (Bryn & McGruff)

Amanda's passion is second to none, but furthermore so is her knowledge and she really believes we all have a role in challenging the status quo in how our pets' food is being prepared and marketed. As she says:
"I think it's a really great time to drive a much broader conversation looking at what we're told and really beginning to question the veracity of those claims and what our pets really need!"
Amanda like all our panellists, is passionate not only about her role but the role everyone is playing in creating a better future.

Here, in Planet Driven Brands Podcast Amanda Rolat shares this passion and experience with us.

I think you'll love it and I certainly enjoyed the chat :)
