My identity as a black American, San Francisco born, european-living sex bomb is a protest & I don't do niches. I've lived a very atypical life, which has qualified me to blab about all sorts of topics including travel, mental health, race, confidence, the body, sex, fashion, luxury, relationships, art & culture. With each episode, my goal is simply to provoke authentic thoughts on old & new topics alike.

Never Have I Ever (18+ version)

Finally, a lighthearted episode! Get to know me a bit (for better or worse) as I play two rounds of Never Have I Ever, and answer some adult questions. However, compared to the shenanigans I've gotten into, I will say this list of questions is rather tame. Have a listen, play along, have fun!

Do I have Daddy Issues, though?

Do I have Daddy Issues, though?

In this episode, I discuss my dynamic with my father, how our sporadic relationship over the years has and has not influenced my present, and how I've dealt with his recent passing. But worry not, this episode is not a downer, as my main goal is to highlight the variety of ways we as women especially deal with "daddy issues," and grieving. I recap some of the slightly unpleasant exchanges we had over the years, and how I accepted and resolved our distant relationship on my own time and on my own terms.

And sorry in advance for the background noise and the slightly jumpy audio!

Please support me and reach out on Instagram, and spread the word about my podcast!

And find and give a listen to the podcast, 420 Day Fiance, hosted by Miles Gray & Sofiya Alexandra, which I briefly mention in this episode.

What Rihanna taught me - Internalized Misogyny

What Rihanna taught me - Internalized Misogyny

Welcome or welcome back sexy people. In this episode I tackle internalized misogyny; specifically, how media makes us hate each other, the influence of an all-girls education on my journey, how I grapple with my own privileges and perspectives and, of course, how Queen Rihanna herself was the catalyst for this all. I touch on tropes, beauty standards, heteronormativity, celebs & influencers, and I pose some questions to help identify when you're being misogynist towards someone or when they're actually just trash. ON: Black & Asian Racism & Allyship

ON: Black & Asian Racism & Allyship

First off, I would like to extend my support and ear to the Asian communities across the world. The recent events of March 2021 have led me to publish this episode on my experience as a life long Asian ally growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, the racial tensions between marginalized communities, and how we all play a role in enabling anti-Asian and anti-Black violence. I explore fetishization, tokenism, hyper-homogenization, and the education system's role in this. The episode includes anecdotes of my own upbringing amongst the Asian communities around the world, my love for Kpop may or may not pop up every 2 seconds, and lastly I provide a few of my own tools to help fight this mighty beast of oppression and how you can apply them too! Enjoy and thank you for listening.

    Shake hands with fear

    Shake hands with fear

Still working out audio & editing issues, but thanks for coming back. You lovely listeners voted on Instagram for this topic: how I've utilized fear to make some of my best life decisions. This episode includes a bit of story time and bit of constructive analysis on how to co-exist with fear and make it work. Fear isn't going anywhere, it's part of human existence, however rather than allowing it to stagnate goals & dreams, use it to reframe, reassess and fuel growth and progress. Follow me on Instagram @the_nomad_in_couture to vote on topics regularly!
