The greatest commandment, the one from which the rest of the law follows, is to whole-heartedly love God. Moses helps God's people look ahead to an uncertain future, and encourages them to consider the implications of maintaining and defending their love for God. But in the end, he points us to our only hope - God's steadfast love for us.
