It took a global pandemic and an almost-total disruption of the live music industry to get Ruben Polo to slow down. For many years he was tireless in his pursuit of doing right by bands he liked, throwing them shows whenever they came through Philadelphia. More recently his own band Soul Glo has taken up more time & attention, with their brand of hardcore punk finding ever-greater poignancy in a country riven with racial and economic injustice.

Former Transit vocalist Joe Boynton is on the show to talk about his first new music project in almost 5 years, Narrowcast. We also discuss his hardcore punk origin story, balancing work & school during Transit's salad days and stealing Clif bars from gas stations so you don't starve on tour (sorry Mom!)
