MxBliss (she/they) is a gleeful sadist, sensation empath, consent enthusiast, rope switch, self-suspender, and quinkster (queer kinkster). As an older, queer, femme-presenting POC who didn’t initially feel welcome in the shibari community, she is committed to rope education accessibility. Her rope style is a largely self-taught jumble of American-, circus-, and Japanese- rope (shibari and kinbaku) and is heavily influenced by her self-suspension practice. She’s been handling rope nearly every day since 2019; she’s done hundreds of partnered rope suspensions and even more self-suspensions. Formerly a business and social justice attorney, she frequently presents on negotiation, consent, kink and the law, and diversity/equity/inclusion. She’s currently making a living doing what she loves as a Dominance and Executive Coach/rigger and advising kink-positive businesses.

Kata (he/she/they) has been touching and trying to understand and learn "all" about touch their whole life. They are a touch professional, genderfluid (rope)switch, bodyworker, explorer, learner and forever evolving in this (mostly) human form.

Originally from Austria, lived in Iceland for 8 years where they discovered ropes and the passion to work with and for the human body again. They went on to connect to the spiritual communities there as well as the BDSM community and built a rope community and created Spektrum Reykjavik and Reykjavík Ropes, these spaces were born to weave together and offer all those things that they love, experience, enjoy, research and study. 

Recently moved back to the south of Austria, connecting to their own roots and to the diverse communities there. Learning even more about the human body, studying physio/medicinal massage and sexological bodywork (in Zurich). Working with holistic bodywork, offering rope classes and sessions as well as continuing to collaborate with different photographers, rope artists and Finnish movement and dance artist Kaisa Kukkonen on their mutual research about touch.

Mari or Liquid (she/they/them) as they are known in the BDSM community, served as the chapter’s VP. They also taught classes while lending their years of experience and community service by shining a light on the chapter to the greater BDSM/ Fetish/Leather community. 

In their “vanilla life,” kink activist Liquid is a social worker who has dedicated their career to the field of aging. While social work might not have an obvious connection to the kink world, the most rewarding part of both, is having the ability to amplify voices while providing education, resources, and tools that empower those in marginalized communities at various stages of their lives.” In their social work, Liquid has helped some of society’s most vulnerable, including older adults and those living with HIV/AIDS.

Malachi, a switch in kink practices, emphasizes safety, negotiation, and self-advocacy in BDSM. They discuss rope experiences, nerve checks, and body perception, highlighting the emotional significance of self-suspension and the role of photography in self-discovery.

Malachi (they/them) is a trans-identified, kinky, queer, polyamorous writer, and educator with a bachelor’s degree in traditional mathematics.

Their literary work has been published in several journals including The Rhapsodist and Gertrude, and they have presented their work at the University of North Carolina Asheville Queer Conference. In their mathematics career, they published and presented several pieces in the field of mathematical biology, including papers discussing the dynamics of HIV modeling and the impact of harm reduction techniques on intravenous drug using populations.

Malachi has been active in the Baltimore kink scene since 2014. They are also staff on several larger events, including Dark Odyssey (Manager on Duty) and logistics team for TESFest. They have been an educator for the past ten years, focusing on queer and trans identities, safer sex and sexual agency, and introduction to kink and non-monogamy. They are passionate about intersectionality, consent, and risk-awareness, both inside and out of the kink scene.
