In this episode, Kiersten and Felix explore "The Indian Lake Project." In 2006, a blogger posted about the documents he found in a box which seemed to document a government program that tried to crack the code of brainwashing and mind control a la MK Ultra. The blogger believed "The Indian Lake Project" was a sister program or successor to MK Ultra which tried to find more success than the better-known program had.

Was the Indian Lake Project a true successor to MK Ultra or was it an early attempt at an ARG? We cover the plausibility  of this program, address some plot holes and inconsistencies in the execution and Kiersten's film degree finally comes in handy.

Welcome to our first episode! Today, Kiersten welcomes Felix into the crazy world of MK Ultra. MK Ultra, is the CIA program that took place in the sixties where the government researched methods of brainwashing using drugs, sex, hypnosis and other methods. This research was conducted illegitimately and often involved unknowing parties being injected with LSD which was presented as Flu shots. During Watergate, the director of the CIA ordered all documents on the program to be destroyed and we only know about it now thanks to someone's inability to file things properly. We also discuss a little bit on how modern brands and media can create brainwashing effects on a far less extreme level.
