Storytelling with Artist Andrew Salgado AJ The Player

Andrew Salgado is a Canadianborn artist who works at his studio in Hackney, London. His work has been exhibited all around the world and Andrew was personally featured in the 2014 documentary Storytelling, which followed him as he created a series of works. To use one of my favourite oxymoron’s, his paintings are a little on the large side, with works of portraiture incorporating elements of abstraction and symbolic meaning. I recently met with him at his studio and as we sat down with a cup of coffee, it was immediately evident he was very easy going and relaxed.
