    Fermi Paradox

    Fermi Paradox

Ever wondered where all the aliens are? It’s actually very weird that, as big and old as the universe is, we seem to be the only intelligent life. In this episode, Josh examines the Fermi paradox, and what it says about humanity’s place in the universe.

    Great Filter

    Great Filter

The Great Filter hypothesis says we’re alone in the universe because the process of evolution contains some filter that prevents life from spreading into the universe. Have we passed it or is it in our future? Humanity’s survival may depend on the answer.

    X Risks

    X Risks

Humanity could have a future billions of years long – or we might not make it past the next century. If we have a trip through the Great Filter ahead of us, then we appear to be entering it now. It looks like existential risks will be our filter.

A brilliant series

In this compelling and strangely soothing series, Josh Clark takes you on a journey that will make you feel like a tiny drifting speck, and part of some vast and inconceivable whole. Though the subject matter is a little heady at times, it's presented in a very well-structured narrative that gives you plenty of time to process and think about how it all fits together. The atmospheric soundtrack and Josh's soothing voice might even make this a series you will come back to time and again as I have for about a year now.

An Absolute Must

The magnificent message to everyone who listens is belied by the doom-evoking title. Don't let it fool you. This podcast is beautiful, inspirational and thought provoking. Josh Clark, thank you for this.

Wonderful

Definitely more scripted than SYSK, but equally interesting. The facts are very well researched and presented in a very good way. It’s physics and philosophy and just a delight to hear.
