Me (Ryan) and my brother Matt aim to keep you entertained whilst also bringing the valuable opinions of other guests from close friends, industry insiders and even family members.

So stop what you're doing, I mean unless you're driving or performing surgery, get your slippers on, leave your brain on the pillow and get ready to have an audible bath.

Top n' Tail: A Reflective, Discussive Podcast #4 The Book of Boba Fett (The Absolute Failure of Star Wars, and other musings)

A very warm evening to you, you bunch of Bantha riders.

It's been a while huh? Well we are back, and this time we are taking a soapy deep-dive into the sarlacc pit of despair and reviewing The Book of Boba Fett starring The Mandolorian. Did we love it? did we hate it? we sure did one of those.

Packed full of soft, quilted discussions including; Should Grogu be squished? Fennec Lang? Chang? Por Que? What was the insane workout routine and diet Temuera Morrison chomped his was through to get that succulent Rich Evans stature?!

Star Wars is in a state of perpetual turmoil, whilst some great stories are ready to be told, we still seem to be bludgeoned by fan service that appeals to the lowest sense of satisfaction. We love seeing certain characters come back too, but the key in making this a worthwhile effort is the way these cameos are interwoven into the plot naturally. The boys are not so sure Favreau was successful here.

If you have filthy opinions, please hop in the cleansing liquids of the Top n' Tail Podcast and let us know.

Top n’ Tail: A Reflective, Discussive Podcast #3 Invincible (Amazon Prime)

You get to bed now mister! or ma'am! I mean it! or we about to whoop yo ass!

Welcome back to Top N Tail, grab some fruit loops, slip into the tub and fall asleep to the sounds of Matt and Ryan reviewing and discussing all things Invincible. The acclaimed Amazon series adaptation of the cult classic graphic novel of the same name by Mark Miller.

It gets bloody, tense and heated.. mainly the discussion about how Seth Rogen is a douche, terrible live action versions of superheroes and the current slate of upcoming MCU films coming up that quite frankly will pail in comparison to this "breath of fresh air" series. But to be honest with you dear listeners? this is a purely J.K Simmons lusting podcast from now on, please all grow out your moustaches and find pictures of Spiderman for all future episodes.

Top n’ Tail: A Reflective, Discussive Podcast #2 Alien 1979 Part 2 (Finale)

Welcome once again to the soapiest podcast on the airwaves.

Slip back into those comfy robes of yours and grab that unfinished tinny as we finish our discussion on Alien 1979. Thats right, apparently nearly 2 hours is not enough time to talk about this seminal film, but this time we get it done. (And this time there are no Dune tangents to go off on)

Delving into the plot, we attempt to analyse the broader strokes of the scenes and realise that Alien may contain the single greatest number of iconic moments and imagery ever put to a reel. But wait! there's more! Canadian Masturbation! Purple Prince Phillip! Matt Hates Good Movies?! I suggest you buckle your highchair and join us for this final episode on Alien 1979.

Top n' Tail: A Reflective, Discussive Podcast #1 Alien 1979

Top n' Tail: A Reflective, Discussive Podcast #1 Alien 1979

Grab some alcohol, get out of those clothes and enter the bubble bath with some friends as we discuss Feet, Dune, Cowboys, Annoying Women oh, and at some point, the seminal 1979 Science Fiction-Horror masterpiece, Ridley Scott's Alien.

Releasing in 1979, shocking and inspiring audiences, and spawning a multi-million dollar franchise that would refuse to die, Alien was a breakthrough science fiction film made on the fringe of a cultural phenomenon, Star Wars. Where sci-fi had been a trope-filled, low budget, stain on the film market, Alien proved that this genre could be done with gravity, excellent writing, a stellar cast and do what Jaws did for the ocean for space, and the unknown.

So... does it still hold up? With a range in age differences we hope we can provide some unique perspectives on our first viewing experiences and how it impacted us.

Whilst gearing up for this recording session we learned of the unfortunate news of Yaphet Koto's passing and attempted to shed more light on his career and the recently published interviews with him in regards to Alien and his role in the film. We urge you to go and seek out these articles and perhaps watch some of his other notable roles. RIP
