Narrative Study: The Arthur Mythos
Content warning: References to domestic violence and sexual assault against children, around 23:20.
Inspired by Netflix's Cursed, we discuss the history, evolution, and recent adaptations of the Arthur mythos. Preeya accidentally used a Bluetooth mic through the entire recording, so she sounds like an underwater 1920s radio host. Media discussed includes the BBC production of Merlin, The Mists of Avalon, The Great Book of Amber, The Once and Future King, Le Morte d'Arthur, The Prophecies of Merlin, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Netflix's new series Cursed, and right at the end, the Maori series The Dead Lands. -
