In 1924, the recently widowed Ruth Malone retreated to publishing magnate Arch Winthrop's beach house to mourn her dearly departed husband George "Biscuits" Malone. Biscuits was beloved by all, and the loss was too great to bear. That is, before Winthrop's personal physician Dr. Vance Pellegrino makes a shocking suggestion.

In 1948, director Tom Hartley and Producer Margaret Chapman began work on "They Stood Tall," the most ambitious Civil War film ever attempted. Sparing no expense, they even hired the last surviving Confederate soldier as a military advisor. But no one could have known the chaos that would come from Albert’s presence. Within a year, a handful of the actors would be institutionalized, the Monolith Studio lot would be reduced to ash, and every scrap of Tom’s dream project would be destroyed.

Clifton Douglas was one of the most gifted actors of the 1950s, until he got stuck doing terrible sci-fi B-Movies. His obsession with his final role would destroy a studio and leave behind a mystery unsolved to this very day.
