He has followed his passion for helping others to the Northern Villages of Sri Lanka, where he works with the Om Shanti Foundation to restore the lives of families that were destroyed in the civil war. I first met Clay Western a few years ago when surfing at Ocean Beach down in Denmark. Always welcoming, we developed a friendship through my frequent visits down to his picturesque town in search of swell. We caught up the last time he was in Perth to discuss music inspiration, the impact of surf on life, pushing your comfort zone and being true to yourself.

Jemma Scott, aka @thesalty.dreamers, is a photographer, writer and artist. I first met Jem back when we trained together for Surf Lifesaving. Her creative style of photography has always been a massive inspiration on my own style, no one views the world with a creative eye like hers.
