Basil Hayden’s Bourbon Review – I think it is safe to say we were all very impressed with what this bourbon had to offer. We got a lot of spicy fruit and charred oak on the nose and tasted sweet notes of cinnamon with peppery spice that lingered on the finish. This medium bodied bourbon made itself known on the palette and we couldn’t help but want to pair this tasty whiskey with a fresh slice of apple pie.
