The Hero complex, when you are raised in a particular way, it will impact how you form relationships. In this episode, we discuss how you can teach people to treat you based on how you perceive yourself; if you see yourself as a fixer, you pass this on to your friend but it can mean that you don’t get your needs met. In part 2, RubySuze and Miss Luminary open up about the pain of being in relationships with unmet needs and how relationships can break when this is challenged and the person in “deficit”realises they have value. When you know who you are, it is important to have people around you who accept all of you, which means some friendships may be a loss that you may have to accept.

The littlest thing be it a song, smell even taste can trigger our memory of a friendship and can be quite traumatic at times. RubySuze and Miss Luminary explore how friendships are formed and the fact that every friendship should serve the both parties and not just one side. However, it can often be tricky as people pick their friendships and it’s not easy to swallow when they break.
