195: Don't Know Where to Begin? Your Beginner's Guide to Bariatric Movement with Monique Coleman, CFI BariNation Podcast

    • Alternative Health

Moving our bodies is a BariNation Pillar of Bariatric Success, but it is one that so many people struggle with. We know it is essential for short-term recovery and long-term success, but finding joyful movement, building a practice, and sticking with it can be challenging.

In this episode, April, Jason, and Natalie sat down with BariNation Movement Expert Monique Coleman to understand where we can start when we don’t even know where the start line is. Each shares their personal movement struggles and the strategies they will use during BariNation’s Spring Into Summer Movement Challenge.

To cross the start line, we have to begin by addressing our movement mindset and understanding what we are telling ourselves about movement. We can embrace starting small and shifting our definition of movement to help us begin where we are, not where we were with movement before surgery or how we hope to move.

If you have been wanting to move more but are finding it hard to start, this conversation is for you! And if you think moving with fellow patients and friends would motivate you, join our Spring Into Summer Movement Challenge.
