She is Becoming.. Jimiliz.

This episode, we chat with Dr. Jimiliz Valiente - Neighbours. Qlehd and Hanna met Dr. V at Point Loma Nazarene University, where she keenly welcomes all Point Loma students with wide arms and celebration. At Loma, she’s “mother-ed” the student body - opening up traditionally taboo conversations, encouraging curiosity, and continually pointing back to the purpose and power of education. In this episode, she shares about her personal experience with: pregnancy loss, infertility, parenthood, tenure, and health journey. Her path of becoming is a testament to the brazen and beautiful ability to simultaneously hold space for the past, present, and future. Courage and bold prayers of hope bring her forward as she learns how to honor her name, her body and her family.

Dr. Jimiliz reminds us that sometimes what we’re becoming has been a long time in the making.  We’re encouraged to name dreams boldly, honor oneself, and honor the journey and family that has brought us forward.  We know you are guaranTEA-d to leave this episode encouraged and enlightened.. cozy up, invite a friend over, and tune in for this episode’s journey of becoming. We hope this episode opens up dialogue on grief, loss, health and the vulnerable threads that tie us together.
