LFA Fighter Aaron McKenzie is on the verge of making the UFC, but the problems that come with fighting in smaller promotions make that path very difficult. This past weekend, he was supposed to main event an LFA event as potentially one final showcase to the UFC as to why he should get a chance. Instead, his opponent came on over 10 pounds overweight, costing his time, money and opportunity. This is not unique to him, and is one of many difficulties facing MMA fighters looking to make it to the big show.

He is a 9-2 bantamweight prospect that I believe will finish this year as a ranked fighter in the UFC and will be a true contender one day in this division.
