Missing “APE-ril” by just THIS much….the fourth film/reboot of the reboot of the Tim-Burton inspired remake of the seminal 70’s smash Planet of the Apes roars into theatres, and Emcee and Cupcake have a front row seat to the apocalyptic zoo that is “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes”. The Wes Ball directed film hails CAESAR…the Moses and central character of the original trilogy…but brings us new ape characters - some cute and bumbling, and others terrifying and sounding like sexy Kevin Durand. Is this a Kingdom worth visiting or does it belong in the dung heap of anthropomorphic, sign language using apes like that other adventure film with Amy the Gorilla.
