From Ghosting to Hosting: A Fresh Start with 52 Weeks 52 Weeks Podcast

    • Self-Improvement

It's been a bit, hasn't it? How have your goals been coming along? I must admit, I didn't mean to ghost you. I'm your host, Steph Shoell, and I'm thrilled to be back, sharing this space with you. If you've been wondering where I've disappeared to, let me tell you, it's been quite an unexpected journey. A journey started with missing one episode in Jan 2023 and somehow turned into a 14-month hiatus. This break, though unplanned, taught me a valuable lesson about the importance of scheduling and routine. Without them, even the activities we love can slip through the cracks.

Season 4: A Fresh Start

Embracing this new chapter in mid-April, away from my usual love for "new beginnings" like Mondays and New Year, feels a bit unconventional. Yet, here I am, excited to embark on this solo journey with you, enriched with insights from my hiatus. This season, we're keeping things interactive thanks to Spotify's cool new feature that lets you leave audio messages. I'm eager to hear about your routines, hacks, and goals, making this season a collaborative adventure.

I want to talk about something that's reignited my passion for organizing: Marie Kondo's 'Joy at Work.' After a night of reading, I found myself rearranging my entire home office, inspired by her simple yet profound methods. And with my digital clutter reaching overwhelming levels, especially with all my audio files, Marie's advice couldn't have come at a better time.

Marie suggests organizing our digital lives into three key folders:

Current Projects: For immediate work that needs attention.
Records: For all those important policy and procedure documents.
Saved Work: For archived projects that we might need to refer back to.

This week, I challenge you to join me in a 10-minute decluttering session, focusing on these categories. Let's tackle our digital clutter and make our workspaces a source of joy and productivity.

So, here's to being back, to decluttering, and to not ghosting you again (hopefully). Let's dive into this new season of 52 Weeks together!
