FSHud - Air Traffic Control Gets Updated to v1.3

FSHud - Air Traffic Control Gets Updated to v1.3

FSHud Air Traffic Control has officially launched version 1.3, bringing their most advanced traffic technology to Microsoft Flight Simulator and Prepar3D.
Version 1.3 offers essential features for an accurate ATC simulation, beginning with ground operations. In the real world, smooth and safe operations are crucial when aircraft are taxiing, crossing runways, taking off, or landing. Version 1.3 delivers the most precise ground operations yet. With FSHud - Air Traffic Control, users experience real ATC, not random events and aircraft placements.
During departure and arrival, FSHud - Air Traffic Control manages all frequencies, handling communications with both ground control and tower, and overseeing all necessary procedures and clearances. This makes it easy for newcomers and experienced simmers to focus on flying.
There is new integration of new traffic separation, speed assignment, and vectoring technology, which replicates real-world air traffic control practices. On approach, FSHud now successfully manages all communications between approach/departure control and the tower, considering runway availability and weather conditions.
One of the significant updates in this version is the redesigned user interface, which provides a more intuitive and user-friendly experience, with easier access to instructional videos and other information.
With the release of version 1.3, attention now turns to version 1.4. This upcoming release will feature new realistic voices to enhance auditory immersion and realism. Additionally, version 1.4 will introduce a speech recognition system to FSHud - Air Traffic Control, allowing pilots to interact with ATC using their voice, significantly enhancing the simulator experience.
If you want to get FSHud, you can do so from Flight1's website for $34.95 USD. You can also watch the video above to get an overview on the recent 1.3 update.

    SoFly Announces EcoSoundScapes for MSFS

    SoFly Announces EcoSoundScapes for MSFS

A new product from SoFly has just been announced that will enhance the environmental sounds in Microsoft Flight Simulator. EcoSoundScapes adds, according to SoFly, hundreds of new sound variations, in many parts of the world to make the world feel more alive.
Jungles, cities, beaches, forests, towns and other locations will all benefit from this added new immersion. Over 200 airports have also been manually edited to now include added sound immersion. These effects are spatially aware, meaning if you move away from the location, the sound will fade away. All sounds have been created with high-quality recordings and developed using the latest WWise technology.
In addition to the new environmental sounds, a new in-sim menu will also accompany the product, giving simmers the ability to manually adjust preferences to their desire. You can control the master volume, or each individual sound type. Furthermore, if a sound isn't audible in the location you're in and you want to add immersion, you can simply press 'play' and let the product generate a bank of sounds for you.
SoFly says that future updates will also include new sound effects for aircraft and more generic environmental sounds as well.
EcoSoundScapes will be released on Thursday, 6th June 2024 via their own store and exclusively through Orbx. It will be coming to PC and Xbox via the in-sim Marketplace in the near future.
    Features:
Adds new environmental sounds to Microsoft flight simulator
    Hundreds of sounds
Jungles, cities, airports, beaches, forest and more updated
Control via the in-sim menu with master controls or granular controls for each sound type
Have effects play anywhere in the world thanks to the in-sim panel
Full volume and master switch controls
Placed in thousands of locations of the world
Fresh free updates with new uploads from third-party developers and community

BlueBird Simulations Shares 757 Video Update, Includes New Sound Preview

BlueBird Simulations Shares 757 Video Update, Includes New Sound Preview

A short 3-minute video from BlueBird Simulations has been shared on their upcoming 757 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The new video gives us a brief update on how development is progressing, along with previews of the sounds and lighting.
The first bit of news from BlueBird is a reminder that they will be presenting at this year's FlightSimExpo. They have a 20-minute presentation which will take place on Friday. Of course, FSElite will be on hand to bring you the latest news from the seminar as it happens.
Further into the video, we get to hear a preview of the sound effects for the 757. These have been made by Boris Audio Works and helps bring the airliner to life. After that, we see a new preview of the night lighting. The night lighting has been manually adjusted to ensure that the bloom isn't overkill.
BlueBird Simulations says that all lights (except the logo lights) can be tripped by the circuit breakers found in the cockpit. The reason the logo lights are not is because that circuit breaker is found in the electronics bay, which won't be modelled.
More information on the 757/767 will be coming during FlightSimExpo. Not got your tickets yet for the show? Here are 10 reasons why you should come this year (if not to watch all the amazing announcements on Friday!).
