Your past is not an identity.  Your past is not a sentence.  And your past is not your future.  Janet talks to her childhood friend, Michael Howell, about walking through the darkness of drugs and alcohol, being arrested…and the hand and influence of God changed his destiny.  What was surely going to be seven years or more in prison…turned into a work-release sentence.  Michael has followed in the footsteps of his father, becoming an influential entrepreneur in the Norristown Pennsylvania area.  Who was once into drugs and alcohol, while still going to church on Sundays…is not 100%, completely and totally sold out for God and His purpose.  “I had learned about God, but I hadn’t encountered God.”  In 2016, that all changed.  Michael encountered God in a big way…listen to his story as Michael went from drugs and alcohol to Man of God, husband, father, grandfather, and influential businessman.  “It all starts with God.”

God made our bodies to run on food. If you’re addicted to drugs or alcohol or smoking, you can quit drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes. If you have an eating disorder, you can’t quit food. In fact, quitting food IS a disorder. Janet talks with Kelly Jansens about eating right, exercising, should you or should you not take supplements, and some basic tips for working with a personal trainer. And the biggest tip to get started today--even sitting at your desk. Janet also makes an unabashed confession of her own thirty-year journey with bulimia--purging up to 10 times a day or more. Before you can help others, you need to get help yourself. The best thing you can do for yourself is taking care of God’s temple, your own body.
