Voice of our Community: LaKeisha Bonam, School Social Worker, Spouse, & Parent
We are mindful of the events happening in our community, state, and country and the grief it has caused. Each day we are listening and learning to be more informed of how to be a continuous support going forward. Grief’s Journey recognizes that, we as an organization, cannot separate ourselves from the oppressive systems perpetuating disparities in our community. Our commitment is to strive to grow and understand our community and the various styles that our community grieves and to learn how to best serve our community. A link to our anti-discrimination policy and commitment may be found here: https://griefsjourney.org/about/policies/

LaKeisha shares stories about how she has been balancing life during the global pandemic as a school social worker, spouse, and parent. She also discusses how her students and family have been managing the pandemic as well. Also, there is a great conversation about cooking with some recipe exchanges. -
