Mahi means ‘work’ or ‘putting in that work’ which is inherited from the Maori language in New Zealand. And of course 'dummy' means a person who is habitually silent…Put those two together and what do you get? Mahi 4 Dummy’s is a podcast designated to improving oneself, their environment, and the people they influence around them. But let’s not forget about a couple shenanigans in-between to keep things fresh. Versia Hodges II (that’s Versia with a V not a B for you simpletons) is far from having a NZ passport, born and raised in Los Angeles, Ca with experience living and working in China.

    Life on Mars

    Life on Mars

Ross Woodford is the bartender and owner of Life on Mars. Quite a cool name for a bar, right? With David Bowie’s influence and the help of his father, and of course we can’t forget his favourite colour, blue, Ross created his bar with a high IQ in cocktail mixology to go along with rock and roll music vibes heard throughout the whole bar. "The Blue Cube," as Ross calls it, is located at the popular OCT district in the heart of Shenzhen, China. You best have good taste because the drinks that he commandeers are of high quality and prestige, and that's facts! Born in Yorkshire, Ross mastered the craft in Australia and is now breaking barriers in Shenzhen. No wonder he's killing it out here! As a good friend and guest on the show, Ross’ 11/10 personality, as he puts it, will bring you a good time filled with laughter and fun...and possibly a hangover. Better have a high tolerance because it gets a little murky (by murky, I mean explicit) as Ross and I converse about everything under the sun with a couple of shots on deck to keep it interesting.

    4 Hours Later....

Sam Hardy is originally from the northeastern region of the UK. He has a large interest in eastern culture, philosophy, and religion. Sam has been a good friend of mine ever since our first encounter in South Africa *cough cough....* It seemed like destiny that we would catch up with each other while line boarding the plane at the Osaka airport in Japan. This encounter easily solidified our friendship and understanding of one another, no doubt. Currently, Sam is working at a private school in China and setting his goals high for an opportunity to attend Oxford back at his home country with the incentive to study Chinese and Japanese. Sam is my first guest on this show amidst the heat of  the 2020 presidential election, discussing the success and knowledge he has acquired over his just shy of two year term on the east side of China.
