Student Mental Health and Writing Clear Instructions

Student Mental Health and Writing Clear Instructions

It's a pandemic and we should be focusing on many things to make sure our students are in the best place possible, which is why we decided to focus this episode on student mental health. We discuss some resources and strategies to make sure that our students are doing well while also protecting teacher well-being. Additionally, with the increase in online instruction, writing instructions/directions is more important than ever. We talk about ways to make sure that your students know what is expected of them- and how you can know if they know.

Lessons from Quarantine and Literacy in the Content Areas

This week, we discuss the positive changes we've made over the past year and each detail some things we are excited to bring with us out of the pandemic. We also talk about literacy in the content areas and talk about quick ways to integrate literacy skills into classes that are not English or Social Studies-based. Math, science, and elective teachers, this one's for you!

On another note- thanks for sticking with us and our semi-erratic upload schedule as we battle through this pandemic together. If you are not subscribed yet, subscribe on whatever podcast platform you enjoy.

Throwback: Writing Assessment, Unions, and Google- Oh my!

Throwback: Writing Assessment, Unions, and Google- Oh my!

For this episode, we pulled an unpublished episode out of the vault. We were both living the winter break life and couldn't meet together to record, so Producer Eric spliced together some old content for us.

In this episode, we explore teacher unions, discuss writing assessment, and talk about some Google add ons to check out.

We will be back next week with a brand-new episode!
