A big yarrr for this podcast matey
As a sailor myself this part of the history has always fascinated me. Matt does an excellent job covering the subject as he says on broad brush as piracy or privateering was also a political element of the colonial era. Lot of stuff here I never heard of before. Not sure Ned Low was yet covered, haven’t heard all c.a. 200 episodes yet but I learned a lot of new stuff I hadn’t known of before already. Cheers Matt! :)
Excellent podcast
I love learning about pirates, and this podcast delivers. Sometimes it feels like the topics can go well beyond the realms of what is considered to be connected to piracy but there's always something that ties it back, if you have the patience to listen. Also the host has a relaxing, pleasant tone of voice and the way he delivers his stuff is excellent.
