Mom life: we’re surrounded with the message that it’s the tired life, the no-time-for-myself life, the HARD life.

And while it is hard and full of lots of servitude, the idea that motherhood means a joy-less life is something I’m passionate about putting a stop to.

I’m on a mission to help you stop counting down the minutes till bedtime (at least most days).

I want you to stop cleaning up after your kids’ childhood, and start being present for it - start enjoying it.

I believe in John 10:10, that we are called to abundant life, and I know mothers are NOT excluded from that promise.

Join me in conversations about simplicity, minimalism, and lots of other good stuff that leads to a life of less for the sake of enjoying more in motherhood.

I’m Allie Casazza, and this is The Purpose Show.

Ep 137: What I Do When I Lose My Drive

I’m a very ambitious person. I’m really goal-oriented and I’m really good at looking ahead and casting vision for what I want to do and what I want our life and my business to look like. But I can’t say that this energy doesn’t ever fail me, because it does. There are times when I just lose my drive and I have to get it back.
If you’ve ever felt like you’ve lost your drive and you don’t know why or how to get it back, get out your notepad, girl. I’m laying it all out for you. I’m telling you exactly what I do when I lose my drive and how I get it back. You’re going to want to take notes!

Ep 136: The Epidemic of Mom Burnout (+ what to do!) with Emily Ley

Ep 136: The Epidemic of Mom Burnout (+ what to do!) with Emily Ley

I’m so excited to share with you this conversation I had with my friend, Emily Ley! She is an author and the founder of Simplified—a brand of planners and organizational tools for busy women, which I obviously love. Her new book, When Less Becomes More, just came out recently and I’m so excited for her to share how she came to write this book because the story is so raw and so vulnerable. Let’s jump in to the conversation!

Ep 135: Simple Doesn't Equal Small

Ep 135: Simple Doesn't Equal Small

I feel like a misconception that’s made about me is that I want a simple, small life. But that is 100% the opposite of what I want. I want to live a fricking big, full, ambitious, extravagant life. And sometimes I hear people say, “Well, I don’t want to be a minimalist because I don’t want to have nothing, and be nothing.” And I’m right there with you! That’s not what I want either. At all.
So, if you’re like me and you struggle with the idea of a minimalism meaning a bare, have-nothing, do-nothing life, I want to share with you why I believe a simple life doesn’t equal a small life.

Ep 134: How to Use Parkinson's Law to Be Empowered + Productive

Ep 134: How to Use Parkinson's Law to Be Empowered + Productive

Parkinson’s Law states that the time you give yourself to complete a task is how long you will take to complete a task. However long you decide you’re going to spend on a project is how long you’re going to spend on that project. This thought, this way of living can really change everything for us. It is so, so empowering because it means we are in control of so much more than we give ourselves credit for or like to admit. Let’s talk about it!
