Today, I felt led to start with this poem I read the other day by John Roedel because it beautifully demonstrates that we don’t always understand what God is doing. We think we are a mess, we feel like we are falling apart, we feel like God has abandoned us, and yet God is ALWAYS right there in the middle of it all! He knows exactly what He is doing and wants us to trust Him in the process. This poem gives us some insight into that process. I feel it makes it a little easier to trust when we have a bit of understanding. This conversation is between someone and God.

Proverbs 8:34-35 “If you wait at wisdom’s doorway, longing to hear a word for every day, joy will break forth within you as you listen for what I’ll say. For the fountain of life pours into you every time that you find me, and this is the secret of growing in the delight and the favor of the Lord.” Today's episode explains how God highlights things for us sometimes. It talks about the call God has for all of us to come closer to Him and to ask Him for wisdom before we go elsewhere. It explains that the secret of growing in the delight and the favor of the Lord is to seek His wisdom.

Today’s witness is another friend from the Big Life mentoring group with Pamela Crim. Laura has been through a lot over the years, including several unhealthy relationships in her search for love. She lived with a lot of shame for many years. Finally, someone she loved pointed her to the Big Life Devotional podcast by Pamela Crim. She started listening and then joined mentoring. She went on retreat where Pamela baptized her in the ocean and her faith was renewed. Listen to her testimony, and you will see how God transformed her life. He can do the same for yours. Just keep turning back. It’s ok if your path isn’t perfect. Just keep getting back on the road to salvation. Take it away, Laura.
We have all seen God working in our lives. 2 Corinthians 3:12-18 “ Since we have such a hope, we are very bold, not like Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not see the end of the fading splendor. But their minds were hardened; for to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their minds; but when a man turns to the Lord the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being changed into his likeness from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” Today's episode questions why we aren't living in the freedom that comes with the Spirit of the Lord. It also discusses how God is transforming us to be more and more like Him in varying degrees of Glory. It encourages us to cooperate more with what the Holy Spirit is doing inside of us. In this episode there are some questions we could ask ourselves if we would like the process to go a bit quicker.

Luke 5:4-5 “And when he had ceased speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word, I will let down the nets.” Today's episode reminds us how fruitful it is when we do what Jesus tells us to do. It also reminds us how important it is to intentionally seek to see where/how God is working in our lives.

Psalm 24:7-8 "Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors! That the King of glory may come in. Who is the King of Glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle!” Today's episode invites us to invite the Lord into our lives. It shows us that the Lord is calling us to invite Him in. It shows us that we don't have to change before we invite Him in. He is not expecting us to change into Saints instantly. He is gentle and will meet us right where we are.
