We also talk about whether the parenting dynamic is shifting post pandemic with more men stepping up to share the domestic load. In this episode Anniki chats to Clemmie Telford about her new book 'But Why? How to Answer tricky questions from kids and have an honest conversation with yourself.' 

In the book Clemmie tackles all those thorny questions we get from our kids and finds way for us to navigate our way through so we can provide solid answers and provoke interesting conversations rather than shut them down. She also talks about how hard it is sometimes to find the energy and resource to really answer questions rather than fob children off - especially when we're busy and perhaps a bit burnt out. Anniki and Clemmie also talk about the importance of taking time out ourselves so we can re-set - this is especially important as we emerge out of difficult times.

In this week's 'Bubble Book Club' Anniki interviews Helen Thorn who is one half of The Scummy Mummies and has recently written a book all about her experience of getting divorced which is called 'Get Divorced, Be Happy,' which describes Helen's experience of her marriage ending and how she emerged from what initially felt like a catastrophe into a more confident, more self-aware parent. The book is an uplifting and funny read and provides lots of expert tips on how to navigate divorce and separation and thrive.
