Tracks I Got to Eat is a casual podcast on the c o n s u m i n g of new music, and how to c o n s u m e with its societal, political and historical context. Things like the accusation of 'industry plants', the relationship of modern music with unsettling imagery, or the prevalence of spoken-word in a lot of new music. Other cooooool subjects will be on the way soon.

Episode 1 | Clairo, Billie Eilish, and young female artists as a whole - are they really 'industry plants'?
Can Max create his first episode of a podcast without too many audio issues? How many sneezes did he edit out? How many cars went past on the road outside, and bonus question: how many horses?
Find these answers and more while I thought-vomit about how the accusation of 'industry plant' has particularly been targeting young female artists in the past couple years.
List of recommended female artists and female-fronted bands:
Alice Glass (Previously of Crystal Castles, making dark, often disturbing electronic tracks)
Orchards (Up-and-coming female-fronted band, a indie math-rock pop fusion)
Anna of the North (Entrancing soft electro-pop)
Men I Trust (Female-fronted funky indie)
Alexandra Savior (hypnotising psychedelic indie rock)
Crumb (female-fronted blend of psych-rock and jazz)
JFDR (atmospheric and mesmerising experimental Icelandic artist)
Marna (female-fronted indie-pop)
Sorry (female-fronted, experimental and hard to identify. Like ominous post-punk. Very cool)
Stella Donnelly (guitar-indie-pop-folk, tells it like it is in an inspiring way)
Thyla (female-fronted, post-punk, amazing live)
Noname (poetry-rapper, I promise I don't just listen to indie okay alright yeah)
Wolf Alice (obviously)
Clairo
Billie Eilish
