In the countryside of Japan, you can hear thousands of wonderful voices of insects at night in autumn. That has been expressed in "Makurano-soushi (The Pillow Book)" (written by Sei Shonagon), a classic Japanese essay published more than a thousand years ago. I recorded the voices of insects around my house on an autumn night. Please enjoy these calming voices of nature.
