Bio: Kayla Arthur is a Bronx,New York native currently serving her community as a bilingual educator. In 2017, she obtained her Masters degree from Hunter college with a concentration in Bilingual education.

She has worked within that scope with students in the South Bronx for 5 years. As a proud second generation Honduran-Garifuna woman she strives to shed light on the Garifuna experience within her classroom.

Outside of work she is an amazing mother of two girls whom are her inspiration. In the future she hopes to use her knowledge of education and her personal experience to create children’s books focused on diversity and representation.
