    We often ignore the most important person in our lives, ourselves. Being constantly surrounded by negative news, seeing horrific things happen around the world often heightens our anxiety, without giving the slightest indications. We have a lot to learn from the pandemic, especially about our mental health. Seeing ‘Millionaire Teenagers’ or Successful Influencers’ on social media often leaves a void in our lives, primarily due to jealousy, inadequacy, and feeling under-confident. In times like these, we need to remind ourselves about the things we are grateful for, the things that we have been taking for granted all this while. It personally has had a profound impact on me and has drastically changed the way I choose to lead my life. Whining is never the solution. But with gratitude, you can start to feel like yourself again and not get lost in the abyss of life. The power of positivity is often overlooked because we are too busy dealing with ‘real-life problems’. We look for solutions outside, when the solutions lie inside each of us.

    We all know that statements make us or break us.

    I am affirmation statements are your stories, your realities, the things you value about yourself. You are your best critic and know what you want in your life, and how you can realize your dreams.

    I have Varsha KC with me in this episode, a long-time friend and a fellow fitness enthusiast. Varsha and I have been motivating each other in our fitness journeys for over 5 years now, and she has always been a constant source of inspiration for me.     I’ll let you in on a secret, I am extremely lazy and resistant to change. Over the past couple of weeks, I have started forcing myself into a discipline. Be it waking up early, or just start my day with positive affirmations, and it has impacted me in the best ways possible. I had always been a physically active person but had lost my motivation over the past couple of years, and that’s something I wanted to change. The power of positivity is severely underrated in my opinion, my thoughts were always focused on the future, and the past at the same time. And due to this, I missed out on the present, with the beautiful people I spent time with, the marvellous connections I had made, and most importantly, I stopped taking care of myself. (Big red flag, big big red flag)

    This podcast will serve as a medium for me to force myself into a discipline, in order to eventually form a habit. This podcast will ensure I commit to future timelines and work on myself, one day at a time to achieve them. This podcast will assist me in unlearning, relearning and educating myself about the things I am passionate about, about the amazing people who I interact with, what drives them, learn from them, because peer to peer learning for me has always been the best way to learn.
