Episode 144: How to Get Quiet to Figure Out What Really Matters
If you want a daily dose of motivation and encouragement, check out my book Daily Inspirations for Midlife Women: A Guide to Peace, Joy, Confidence, and Abundance.
For so many women, their lives are noisy and chaotic. That's how my guest Elaine Glass felt as she was going through her divorce and working at a job that didn't feel aligned with her soul. She knew she needed to "turn down the noise" to deeply connect with who she really was.
How she found peace is a lesson for all of us which she shares in her new book Get Quiet: 7 Simple Paths to the Truth of Who You Are.
Some of the things we discussed:
Her practice of healing and transformation inspired by the classical form of the labyrinth.
How to go from surviving to thriving.
Several of the steps to reflections and discovery.
Her "out of the box challenge" she encourages everyone to do.

Episode 143: Finding a Place to Belong: Remembering the AIDS Crisis
This week my guest is Christine Barker, author of Third Girl From the Left, a touching memoir chronicling her time as one of the original cast members of A Chorus Line and her personal experience with the AIDS epidemic.
We discussed the shame and secrecy so many gay men were forced to endure in a time of homophobia and fear around AIDS. In particular, Christine shares the story of her beloved older brother Laughlin, the life and business partner of Perry Ellis, and her parents refusal to accept him even as he was dying.

Episode 142: "I Transitioned at 67." Wendy Cole's Transgender Journey.
For Pride Month I'm highlighting people who have experienced first hand the intolerance, homophobia, and cruelty that the LGBTQ community have faced for decades.
This week my guest is Wendy Cole, who finally was able to live her authentic life when she transitioned at the age of 67.
Today, Wendy coaches not only transgender people but even their family members on how they can support them.
We covered so much ground in this interview and it's equally heartbreaking and uplifting to hear about how she was treated by her family and even doctors in the 1960's and where she is today.

Episode 141: The Secrets to Stop Feeling Vulnerable and Out of Control
In this episode I'm sharing how I dealt with a situation that was keeping up at night stressed out and anxious.
The reason we feel anxious, stressed and fearful is because we've lost control and feel vulnerable.
Here's how to turn that around.

Episode 140: Finding Love in Midlife with Junie Moon
Are you ready to live life more confidently? Grab my free book, Five Steps to Release Fear and Live Boldly here
Every day I hear from women how hard it is to date in midlife.
Junie Moon is the CEO of Midlife Love Out Loud, a Global Love Mentor and author of Loving the Whole Package: Shed the Shame and Live Life Out Loud.
Junie was in a challenging marriage for over 20 years in which she was constantly walking on eggshells, afraid to stand up for herself or ask for her own needs to be met. She finally ended the marriage but her old patterns repeated themselves. Until she started working on herself with the help of a relationship mentor who helped her get her voice back so that she could ask for what she wanted without feeling guilty or ashamed. She also learned how to date successfully so she wasn’t wasting anymore time looking for her soulmate.
Now she works with women who want the same thing.
Some of things we discussed:
Why you need to start by dating yourself.
How you might be sabotaging relationships before they even start.
The "rinse and repeat" cycle in dating and relationships.
What shadow work is and how it helps address your past issues.
