Struggling to find fights, Ellen wanted to create more opportunities for women boxers and founded West Coast Wonder Women, a three day all female boxing tournament in Sooke, British Columbia, unlike any other in the world. At first glance, it’s just a boxing event, but each fighter who steps into the ring is celebrating the belief that regardless of how many times they have been told they can’t, they can.
