Ep. 18: How Does God Define Truth and Lies?
The “truth” in this day and age seems to have been hijacked to be what we desire it to be but what does God say is truth and what to Him is a lie? The word of God is truth (Jn 17:17), particularly the fulfillment of prophecy. We often say of Jesus that he is word made flesh because he was once words of prophecy in the Scriptures but he eventually came as a flesh person, as fulfillment of prophecy. And that is why he refers to himself as the truth (and the way and the life, yas you smart cookie!). And a lie? Prov 30:6 says that if one adds to God’s word, God will prove him to be a liar and the consequences of adding and subtracting to God’s words are so MALALA (Rv 22:18-19) but how coooome 😱 Join us as we spill the tea on Truth ☕️🫖

We're throwing it waaaay back today to Jesus' first coming 2000-ish years ago to ponder if we would have recognized and believed in Jesus and what he was preaching at the time. The Jews had to look past many things and overcome a lot to come to Jesus - it wasn’t easy! And now, as the people who are holding on to his promise of a second coming, perhaps we should reflect on ourselves and wonder if we wouldn’t make the same mistakes today. And a good place to begin is asking ourselves if we understand the prophecies for the second coming. Knowledge is power! ✊🏼
